FAQs

New York City has one of the most regulated airspace environments in the world, but we handle the entire process for you. Every production requires coordination across multiple agencies including the NYPD Film Unit, the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, and the FAA for airspace authorization. Depending on the location and nature of the shoot, lead times and requirements vary, which is why we get involved in the planning process early. Our team knows the city’s permitting landscape inside and out so productions stay on schedule and fully compliant.

Our fleet is built to cover every production need. The DJI Inspire 3 with X9 camera delivers large format, high resolution footage suited for feature films, episodic television, and premium commercial work. The DJI Mavic 4 Pro offers a compact, agile option for productions that need speed and flexibility without sacrificing image quality. For high-speed, low-altitude, and immersive shots, our custom-built FPV drones are designed and tuned in-house specifically for production work. We work with your DP and director in pre-production to match the right platform to every shot on your list. If you have a specific camera package or payload requirement that falls outside our current fleet, we work with a trusted network of industry partners to fulfill the request and keep your production moving.

For standard productions we recommend reaching out at least one to two weeks in advance, particularly for NYC shoots that require permit coordination. High-demand periods, complex locations, or productions requiring special FAA waivers may need additional lead time. That said, we understand the realities of production schedules and do our best to accommodate fast turnarounds when they come up. The earlier you loop us in, the smoother the day will be.

Yes. All of our pilots hold FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificates and carry authorizations for night operations and flight over people. We carry a full aviation liability insurance policy that meets the requirements of major domestic and international studios, networks, and production companies. We can provide certificates of insurance and any required documentation during pre-production so there are no delays on shoot day.

While New York City is our home base, we regularly work throughout the entire Tri-State Area including New Jersey, Connecticut, and Long Island. We also travel for production anywhere in the United States. Whether your project takes you to an urban rooftop in Hoboken or a wide open landscape upstate, we bring the same level of preparation, permitting expertise, and production experience to every location.

Both. We integrate seamlessly into existing production crews and are equally comfortable operating as a standalone unit on smaller shoots. Our pilots work closely with directors of photography, directors, and production coordinators to make sure the aerial work serves the overall vision of the project. We speak the language of production and understand how to work efficiently on set without disrupting the flow of the day.
