Beach Haven jobs typically run $900 to $3,200. A single rental property or bayfront listing with a same-week edit sits at the low end. Restaurant, marina, and event work on the island runs higher, partly because summer scheduling is tight and partly because those pieces usually want both a sunrise and a sunset block. Rental-management clients booking several properties in one trip get a per-property rate well below the single-shoot price, which is how most LBI portfolios end up getting covered economically.

Beach Haven itself sits in uncontrolled Class G airspace, so altitude authorization is usually not the issue here. The real constraint on this stretch of Long Beach Island is wildlife. The Holgate unit of the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge just south of town closes seasonally for shorebird nesting, and drone activity near nesting beaches is restricted well beyond the refuge boundary. The borough also has its own rules about launching from public beaches in season. FPV NYC is FAA Part 107 certified and sorts all of that out before the shoot date.

Yes, and it is a large share of our island work. We cover the oceanfront blocks in the historic district around Coral Street, the bayside properties off West Avenue with dock access, and the newer elevated construction toward Spray Beach and North Beach Haven. On a barrier island a buyer has two first questions, how far to the beach and whether the boat fits, and aerial video answers both in about eight seconds. We always include one shot holding the property, the dune crossing, and the open ocean in a single frame.

Early June and the first half of September are the best windows. The light is strong, the water reads genuinely blue, and the island looks alive without the July crowd filling every frame with cars and umbrellas. May works well for architecture, though the ocean still comes out cold and gray. We steer clients away from August middays and from any day with a stiff northeast wind, which is common in fall and makes stable flying over the dune line difficult. Winter here is beautiful but the town looks empty, which is rarely the message.

Same week is standard, and for LBI rental clients it often has to be. If you are trying to fill a week starting Saturday, we shoot Monday or Tuesday and deliver by Thursday. Restaurant and event clients on the island usually get a five to seven day turnaround because there is simply more footage to cut through. During peak summer our Long Beach Island calendar fills two or three weeks out, so booking early matters more here than almost anywhere else we work.
